French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire said today that EU countries are fully united on the issue of trade and will not be divided by threats to increase tariffs on US imports.
In response to a question about the US president's threat to increase tariffs on US steel and aluminum imports to European cars, Le Maire said the EU countries are determined to maintain a common position.
Before meeting with EU finance ministers, Le Maire said nobody will divide between France and Germany and nobody will divide EU countries. Everyone knows that unity is the right answer to tariff increases.
