Taro Kono, Japanese Foreign Minister, made the following remarks:
- The United States agrees that North Korea should abolish medium- to short-range missiles as well as intercontinental missiles.
- The tariff on Japanese steel exports could hurt the competitiveness of the US auto industry.
- Economic issues will be deal with in an economic dialogue between US Vice President Mike Pence and Taro Aso, Deputy Prime Minister of Japan.
- The United States should abide by the provisions of the WTO, but we know that this will not happen.
